The Silverbird 12 and 10 are designed to retain the distinct vintage character of the Blackbird 40 AlNiCo speakers, with a touch of contemporary attitude and in a more affordable platform.
The Silverbird line retains the trademark clarity of the Jensen clean tones, paired with a smooth, progressive contour of the top-end response. This response is tailored to grant openness with clean and pushed tones, and the necessary smoothness to keep the upper harmonics of the high-gain tones under control. The bass range is generous yet tight, while the new cone membranes, with a specific treatment on the surrounds, deliver a balanced response in the midrange and “presence” zone.
The Silverbird 10 has a focused and present response with the typical immediacy of the best 10” speakers. With an open and airy character, the Silverbird 10 can morph into a powerful rock’n roll tone machine.
The Silverbird 12 has a punchier and fuller sound: the present, detailed top-end is paired with a clear, expressive midrange. The robust, warm low-end is a solid foundation for a balanced, powerful tone, great also with higher gain applications.
